The Nelson Mandela Bay Science & Technology Centre has launched an exciting Job Shadowing Program as a way of orienting Grade 9 to 12 learners for the corporate world.
According to Nwabisa Basie from the NMB Science & Technology Centre, this initiative aims to familiarise learners with dynamics in the working world and to assist in the decision-making process regarding career paths.
This initiative promises to provide industry insights, expert advice on different careers and contact for future reference. Careers available for shadowing include: autotronics, mechatronics, motor mechanics, electronics, machining, toolmaking, welding, software engineering, software development, digital manufacturing, piloting, industrial engineering.
Only 109 learners will be accepted to participate in job shadowing from 27-30 June, but to be part of this exciting programme, submissions on a first come first serve basis close tomorrow, 17 June.
