A man from Reservoir Hills in Despatch died shortly after making it home in the early hours of the morning and telling his family that he had been stabbed.
Police spokesperson, Capt. André Beetge, said that 33-year-old Gurshen Elrich Jacobs returned to his home in Tarentaal Street yesterday, March 21, at approximately 02:00.
“He knocked on the door and when his family opened for him, he told them that he was stabbed. He died shortly after. He had open wounds to his chest and head,” Beetge explained.
He added that a murder case is being investigated by Despatch SAPS and that they are seeking the community’s assistance in uncovering the motive and circumstances that lead to Jacobs’ death.
