Mountain bike enthusiasts are in for a treat with various exciting events being held in Nelson Mandela Bay and Zuurberg mountains during November.
60 Minutes of Mayhem Series
The 60 Minutes of Mayhem (60MOM) is a short course where riders complete as many laps as they can in 60 minutes. The Mayhem takes place every Thursday until February 2022 at the Fat Tracks Containers in the Baakens Valley (next to William Moffett Expressway).
Racing is from 18:00 to 19:00 with registration from 17:30. The entry fee is R40 per rider per week and free of charge for Fat Tracks members.
MTB cycling at Crossways Farm Village
On Sunday, 14 November the SAICA PEDA MTB, a Cycling South Africa (CSA) sanctioned event, will be held at Crossways Farm Village near Thornhill.
Mountain bikers and trail runners will experience and conquer the trails at Three Rivers and Crossways. The race distances are 30km MTB,30km E-Bike MTB, 15km MTB, 5km MTB as well as a 5km Trail Run.
The event offers amazing goody bags and over R10 000 worth of prizes with medals for all participants and buffet-style waterpoints.
Hayterdale Trails near Addo
The FatTracks Conti Strava Challenge will be held on Sunday, 14 November at Hayterdale Trails at the foot of the Zuurberg Mountains near Addo.
This event is part of the Conti Hayterdale Weekend offering a weekend of riding, walking, food, and some R&R at Hayterdale Trails in Addo.
The event starts at 08:00 and distances include 14km or 30km. This event is organised by FatTracks, Continental South Africa and Hayterdale Trails.
