LOCAL matric girls and boys can now start entering this year’s UD Express Miss and Mr Matric Dance.

The competition is in aid of CANSA, and all funds raised will go towards the work CANSA does in the Eastern Cape communities for cancer patients.

The 20 finalists (10 boys and 10 girls) will show their beautiful matric dance outfits during the grand finale, which will be in the form of a fashion show at Walmer Park Shopping Centre.

The 20 UD Express finalists will also participate in the finale, which will be held on 12 October at 14:00. During the finale aUD Express Mr and Miss Matric Dance, as well as a PE Express Mr and Miss Matric Dance, will be chosen.

Tickets will be available for friends and family to support the entrants.

The winners’ photos will be published on the front pages of UD Express and PE Express, respectively.

Prizes the winners will receive will be announced shortly.

The entry fee is R60, and must be paid directly to CANSA (see details below).

All entrants will be featured on the UD Express and PE Express Facebook pages. Entrants will be judged on their overall look, including the dress or suit, hair, make-up, and accessories, so be sure to send a photo in which the judges can clearly get the complete picture.
