A digital literacy course, designed to meet the needs of participants who require digital literacy skills in all sectors of the economy, as it is an essential skill in any business today, will be held at the Nelson Mandela Bay Science Centre in Kariega from 12 October to 1 November.

The course is designed to accommodate unemployed participants, participants already employed, and participants who are self-employed. It aims to develop informed and skilled participants that can apply the acquired skills in any industry and should contribute towards improved productivity and efficiency in the workplace.

Only participants who can commit to the three-week course are encouraged to apply.

Participants who complete this workshop are capable of:

  • Accessing the Internet
  • Mail & Messaging
  • Using Cloud Storage
  • Social Media & Blogging
  • Practising Digital Awareness: Information Ethics
  • MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel

Access to this workshop is open, although participants who have completed matric (at the least) will be at an advantage. Space is limited to 20 people. Participants should have the competence to communicate in at least two languages and should be mathematically literate.
