Chad Varnicker, a local model from Kariega, has signed a modelling contract with MMM, a multi-management agency in Cape Town, which resulted in him being part of an international wildlife conservation campaign.
“I am very excited. I will remain living in Kariega but travel to the various destinations the client needs me to be,” said Chad, a former Mr Brandwag High as well as Mr Eastern Cape winner.
He recently did a photoshoot for Save Our Rhinos in Africa and India (SORAI) which is an international charity established by former England cricketer and animal activist Kevin Pietersen, to rescue and rehabilitate abandoned or injured rhinos.
“It is one of the best campaigns ever that I am involved with. I am so humbled and thankful for the opportunity. It is like a dream-come-true to be involved in some way to help save our rhinos from extinction,” said Chad.
Pietersen has been closely associated with wildlife conservation in South Africa and India, as well as, spending a good amount of time towards conservation of the rhinos apart from doing commentary in cricket since retiring from the game in 2014.
Chad said he has been in the modelling industry for a long time and felt relieved and assured that all his hard work has finally paid off, after signing the contract with MMM. He thanked Sophisticated Models for their role and support in securing the contract.
“Not only will they utilize me for modelling opportunities, but also for performing (singing) and being a master of ceremonies at events. I am really excited to be part of an agency that will promote me for what I enjoy most in life, especially lifestyle shoots and outdoor campaigns,” said Chad.
