The Shavathon fundraising events at Corkwood Square shopping centre in Kariega as well as at Pick n Pay Despatch, were held last Saturday in support of the Cancer Association of South Africa.
CANSA thanked those brave enough to have their hair sprayed in colours and those even braver who had their hair shaved.
One woman opted for the “Kindest Cut” to have her hair cut off in a 25cm ponytail, to be donated for a wig to cancer survivors.
Many donations are required to make a single wig and it is also necessary to match hair colours and texture for a wig.

Achumile Pamba (11) was one of the brave young ones who had his hair sprayed in aid of CANSA.
Raven (16) and Keagan (13) du Preez were proud to have also supported the Shavathon.
