After almost a week, police in Kariega are still seeking the family of a man that was found dead in Rocklands on Wednesday, April 19.
According to police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, police rushed to the scene on a gravel road in Rocklands at approximately 17:30 and found an unidentified man lying on the road.
The victim was found by a community member from a nearby farm.
“He was clad in black pants and a pink shirt. He had a gunshot wound behind his neck,” Janse van Rensburg said.
“The circumstances surrounding the murder and the motive are unknown and will form part of the investigation,” she added.
In an unrelated incident, police are also seeking the family of a man that was found dead in a derelict building close to the railway lines on the corner of Niven Road and Algoa Road on March 30.
The man, whose body had already been in a state of decomposition, was wearing a black tracksuit pants with two white stripes on both sides and a faded grey T-shirt.
