Despatch detectives are urgently seeking the community’s assistance in tracing the next-of-kin of an unidentified male whose body was found on the R75 on Wednesday just before midnight.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Gerda Swart, said that the man’s body was found lying on the road close to Joe Slovo Informal Settlement by a member of the community.
The deceased is believed to be in his twenties and was wearing a pair of black jeans, black belt, blue boxer trousers, blue jacket, a black beanie with the ‘Red Bat’ logo on it and a pair of black and white old school Vans takkies.
“The victim is of medium build and approximately 1,69m tall. A case of culpable homicide was opened and under investigation,” Swart said.
