EASTCAPE Midlands TVET College (EMC) Uitenhage Campus recently hosted its annual diploma ceremony where 647 graduands were issued certificates and conferred their diploma qualifications.

The college awarded 160 NCV level 4 graduands, 355 level N6 graduands, 92 level N3 graduands and 40 diploma graduands.

Certificates and diplomas were awarded in the College’s Schools of Business, Art & Social Sciences and the School of Business and Engineering studies.

A Principal’s Medallion award was presented to Mxolisi Buyeye and N. Mangete, in recognition of their outstanding performance in the School of Business, Art and Social sciences – National Certificate Vocational (NCV) and School of Business and Engineering Studies respectively. This award is granted to only one student from each school, who has obtained an average of 75% and above throughout his or her studies. The student is also expected to have been an exemplary student, abiding to the College’s code of conduct.

At the ceremony, the Principal of the College, Charl van Heerden motivated the graduands to follow their dreams, be well equipped and continue to develop their skills in order to keep pace with the fast changing technology.
