IN light of the continued COVID-19 challenges and the unexpected fire at Lake Farm Centre, a first ever virtual Run & Ride Charity Fundraiser event will be held this weekend in aid of the Centre.
Maggie Moore, who manages the Centre’s fundraising efforts said Friends of Lake Farm Centre are invited to walk or run 5km; or ride a distance of their choice from 08:00 on Saturday to noon on Sunday for a donation of R100.
All entrants will receive a Facebook filter to add over their Facebook profile picture to promote their support of the event as well as a digital finish badge to share over the event weekend.
Local companies are also encouraged to continue to support the popular annual Lake Farm Centre Race Book, which will be in a digital format this year and promoted on the Lake Farm Centre website.
