The quiz had a Christmas flavour with some rounds like guess the Christmas music played backwards gaining a definite groan from the contestants, however, great fun was had by all.

It was a neck and neck all the way between Canon Fodder playing from Brussels in Belgium, and Rockin’ Lobsters in Portland Maine USA, ending in a dead heat with both teams scoring 113.5 out of a possible 130.

Although the prize was to be South African wine delivered to their door, wherever in the world the winners lived, both teams graciously declined and left their prize value in the “kitty”. Other countries represented were Ireland, UK, Switzerland and of course South Africa.

The real winners, however, are the 148 kids from disadvantaged areas in and around Uitenhage, who will get a Christmas present each, from the entry fees and donations received for the event. The presents are bought, wrapped and winging their way with Santa.
