SOS Childrens Village Port Elizabeth would like to draw the public’s attention to a false job advertisement currently circulating in the local media and social media channels.
The advert reports that a cleaner position is available at the village, and states that if interested a job seeker should pay an amount of money into a bank account.
According to a statement issued by SOS Childrens Village, there is currently no such vacancy available, and SOS Childrens Villages do not require any payments from job seekers. A job seeker would merely apply for a job through the correct channels, but would not be required to pay any sum of money for it.
