UITENHAGE’s rugby fraternity will be in full force this Saturday when the town’s two most prominent teams will take each other on in their annual derby in the Twizza Super League second round clash.
Multisure Gardens RFC will line-up against their neighbours Progress RFC at the Derrick Ferreira Stadium with both teams going into the match in good form as they led their respective groups after round one.
Gates open at 09:00 as there will be a festival of rugby with high school rugby games starting from 10:00. The main game will be at 15:30.
Prior to this clash there will be a Multisure Corporation High Schools Rugby Cup played tomorrow and the fixtures are: Gamble Street vs Bertram (14:30) and John Walton vs McCarthy (16:00).
On Saturday the the play-off for third place will kick off at 10:00 with the final of the Multisure Corporation High Schools Rugby Cup at 11:30.
Gate fees are R20 per adult/car and R5 for scholars.
