80-year-old Henry Human from the VW Athletics Club in Uitenhage completed the 15km Gelvandale Run for the men 80+ category in an impressive 1.53.50 at the Gelvandale Stadium on September 14. Liz Jenkerson from the Muirite Striders in Uitenhage competed in the ladies 70+ category and came in at 1.27.10. The Gelvandale Run presented in partnership with Eastern Province Athletics and the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, attracted over 400 runners, for the 15km and 5km distances.
