AS part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease, employees at Kamesh police station embarked on an informative session, focusing specifically on their female personnel earlier this month.
Trained staff from the Park Lane Clinic formed part of the project, volunteered their services and assisted employees with the necessary information. They also completed some screening tests.
During the event, Sergeant Werner van der Watt, who is also a cancer survivor lit a special candle in honour of those loved ones who lost their lives, those who are currently fighting the disease and for those who survived the disease.
