THE Pioneer Slots 2020 Race is set to take to the streets of Uitenhage next year with runners to start and finish at the Uitenhage Town Hall, Market Square on Saturday, January 11.
This event, organised by Vukani Multi Sport and Tinarha Athletics Club, sponsored by Pioneer Slots (Pty) Ltd. It consists of a 25km race (06:00), 10km (06:30) as well as a 5km family run/walk (07:00) with the prizegiving at 10:00.
There will be lots of lucky draw prizes and all entrants are eligible and must be present to win. The first 200 entrants will each receive a free T-shirt.
The prize money for the first three runners in the 25km: Open: 1st – R5 000, 2nd – R3 000, 3rd – R2 000; for the different age categories (35-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) the prize money is 1st – R500, 2nd – R400 and 3rd – R200.
The prize money for 10km is as follows: Men/Women 1st – R1 500, 2nd – R1 000, 3rd – R500. Juniors: 1st – R400, 2nd – R200, 3rd – R100. The first three children to complete the 5km will each receive a voucher.
Entry forms can be collected and handed in at Beerhuizen Sport Bar (Despatch), Tanzanite Sport Bar (Despatch), Die Kuiergat (Despatch), Marshall World of Sport (Uitenhage), Hot Spot Uitenhage, as well as in Port Elizabeth at Brian Bands, The Footballer, Action Sports and Sportsman Warehouse. The closing date for pre-entries will be on Wednesday, 8th January 2020.
