ONE of Voetsac Hiking Club’s long-standing hikers, Peet Claasen, has started a hiking group called “The Early Bird Hikers” which early on Saturdays will take scenic foot paths.
The hikes will start at 05:00 and will be moderate with distances between 6km to 8km and the duration will be approximately 3 hours (before it gets too hot).
The meeting place is at 6 Papenkuil Street, just around the corner from Absa bank.
This group will operate only until the end of March 2020.
Claasen wants to form an Early Birds Whatsapp group of keen hikers and all interested in joining this group are requested to contact him on 083 299 1826.
