A NETBALL coach to coach clinic, presented by Dorette Badenhorst, Netball South Africa’s head coach for the Spar Proteas, will be held at the Uitenhage Indoor Centre on Tuesday, March 3.

Badenhorst, assisted by Munisani Chauke, are the coaches for the Spar Proteas leading up to the 2023 Netball World Cup, which will take place in Cape Town.

The coaching clinic in Uitenhage is hosted by Despatch High School as part of the school’s celebrations with regard to the official opening of their four netball courts as well as a pavilion.

“It is not often that one can enjoy the privilege of having the national netball team’s head coach in one’s midst,” said Theresa Prince, Despatch High School marketer and also one of South Africa’s international netball umpires.

“Local netball coaches are invited to make use of this wonderful opportunity. We also encourage players to join their coaches to observe the session, as one learns best when one observes first hand,” said Prince.

Badenhorst will be focusing on high school development and will be using school players to assist in conducting the coach to coach clinic.

She will also attend and officiate the evening’s official opening of Despatch High School’s netball courts and pavilion.

  • The clinic will be held on Tuesday, March 3 from 14:30 to 17:30 and the cost is R150 per coach and R50 per player, which is a small price to pay for the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge.
