THE management at the Uitenhage Provincial Hospital has issued a notice that in the light of the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic, all visiting hours have been suspended until further notice.
These extraordinary measures had to be taken to protect all healthcare teams and patients. No visitors will be allowed on the premises.
According to the notice issued by Dr Jannes Moolman, acting CEO at the Uitenhage Provincial Hospital, “When necessary, family of patients will be contacted so as to facilitate a process where visitation is required.”
The community is urged to be cooperative and work with hospital management during this difficult period and adhere to the measures.
