IN-Motion Express is a collaboration of Nelson Mandela Bay’s talented from different art genres, who will be seen on stage at the Athenaeum’s Little Theatre on Saturday, November 28.
The show’s title Eclectic Fusion might leave one tongue tied, but the meaning will sure get some tongues wagging.
“The intention of the event is to spread hope and positivity among our Bay’s artists as well as residents,” said Thuliswa Maka, organiser of the event.
The line-up is a fusion of house music with performances by DJ Pro, contemporary dancing by international choreographer Siya Mbambaz, a short play about gender violence by Mandla, fresh talent from BoyBrown and a performance piece that will take the audience back to their African roots with the sounds of Joliza Mgayiyana.
“For some laughs and spice there will be comic star Mbu ‘Manyloughs’ Msongelwa.”
The Eclectic Fusion event commences with background music at 18:00. It will be followed by the first act at 18:45. The guest speaker will be legendary local businessman Khusta Jack. The programme will end at approximately 21:45 and all attending are urged to adhere to COVID-19 protocol. The Athenaeum is at 7 Athol Fugard Terrace in Central PE and tickets (R80) will be available at the door.
Maka took it upon herself to do something to help artists in Nelson Mandela Bay post the first COVID-19 wave. The event is organised in conjunction with NMBDA.
“Support for this great initiative will be greatly appreciated,” said Maka.
