IN every community, everyone has a role to play. The Community Policing Forum is a collaboration between this “everyone in the community”, community leaders and the local police. The CPF’s most influential role, however, is to mobilise “everyone in the community” also to play a key role in detecting and preventing crime.
The Uitenhage CPF recently held its annual general meeting at which Pat Unsworth was elected as the new chairperson for 2021. Herewith her festive season greetings to the community:
“Dear Community, 2020 is the year that we all wish was behind us and had never happened. It was a year that for some brought absolute grief as so many lives were shattered.
In 2020 our lives changed unimaginably. Still we must soldier on. We must have faith, hope and love for one another to pull us through. We must do exactly as we should, safeguarding ourselves, our families and friends.
Please come and meet and greet the new CPF team in the New Year 2021 at the SAPS Conference Room, Clock Tower-building, on Thursday, February 4 at 17:00.
Let’s fight the demons out there and look forward to a much brighter, happier, and healthier future.
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!”
