Algoa FM is calling for non-profit cancer organisations to apply to be the 2021 Big Walk for Cancer beneficiary.
The Algoa FM walk for Cancer will take place on Saturday the 30th of October 2021.
The success of the first Virtual Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer in 2020, has compelled the station to host a hybrid event including a both virtual and physical walk, should Covid-19 regulations permit.
The Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer is the biggest mass participation event in the Eastern Cape, and brings together everyone who has been affected by cancer.
“With the event having gone virtual in 2020 we received a global reach and people as far as the UK were able to celebrate every step with us,” says Algoa FM marketing manager Lesley Geyer.
“We reached our funding target, which meant that we could purchase the equipment required by the 2020 beneficiary, the Igazi Foundation,” she adds.
All non-governmental organisations which support cancer sufferers and their families in the Eastern Cape and Garden Route are eligible to enter.
The closing date for entries is Monday, the 19th of April 2021.
