The Uitenhage Bowling Club Business League, sponsored by Personal Trust, took place each Wednesday evening, spanning over six weeks and team Accuvar was crowned the champion of 2021.
The League started on 7th April and concluded on 12th May with teams rolling it out for bragging rights each Wednesday evening.
- The atmosphere each Wednesday was electrifying and the competition tight, with prizes to be one from 1st place to last place as well as a lucky draw on the final evening. Finally after six weeks the Business League had its top three teams with only one point difference between teams. Prizes were handed to the teams by Carl Vermeulen (Representative for Personal Trust), Deon Nel (Club President) and Meiring De Villi
The winning team of Accuvar consisted of Rudi Swanepoel, Johan Botha, Jerome Blewett and Michael Killian.
In second place was team Balls on Fire consisting of Anton Nel (manager), Jevan Nel, Dirkie van Rooyen, Phillip du Preez and Louis Poisat. In third place was team Express Builders with Dylan le Roux, Steyn Koekemoer, Bevon O’Neill, Gerhard Bothma, Nicholas Burkett and Martin Ferreira.
The Lucky Draw, sponsored by Klinicare Mosel and the Club was won by Hanlie Kennedy.
Club Night & Pro Ten competition
The Bowling club has Club Night and a Pro Ten each Thursday night starting at 17:15 and it consists of a quick game of bowls at R10 to play with a prize for the winning team. The Club Night consists of a braai, an attendance draw, joker draw as well as an egg draw.
The Club welcomes anyone who is interested to participate on a Thursday evening and if the night is enjoyable there are forms available to join as a Social Member at R240 per year.

Bingo evening tomorrow
The Bowling Club will host a Bingo Evening tomorrow at 19:00. Booklets are available at R50 for 10 games. There will be cheeseburgers at R35 each. Please contact the organiser on WhatsApp 084 819 0261 if you are interested in playing.
