Leeanne Els has had a passion for teaching children since she was only a child herself.
When she moved back home to Despatch from Durban, she made the decision to study to become an ECD practitioner so that one day, if she was ever fortunate enough to own her own school, she would also have the necessary qualification and knowledge to teach.
Her hard work paid off and in June 2022, she became the new director of Oopsi Daisy Learn & Play Centre in Kariega. The school is one year shy of its 10-year celebration.
They teach and lay down a strong foundation for the young children, always strive to give the best and to be the best in everything they do, to create a happy, safe and loving environment for each child that will stimulate the physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth at their own pace.
What we have to offer
They teach from ages 2 years to Grade R, after which all the children automatically feed to a private school in Kariega for Grade 1.
They also have an aftercare facility for Grade R to Grade 7 where they do homework with the children. The children receive breakfast and a home-cooked lunch daily.
The centre is open during all school holidays, except for Easter and December, and this is all covered by the monthly school fees.
In the new future they would also like to expand their education and cater for children with special needs.

Oopsi Daisy Learn & Play Centre will be moving to its new premises at the end of December, which will be at 2 Malva Street, Fairbridge Heights in Kariega.
