Have you ever wondered how a small group of police officials are able to spread themselves out to service large communities? The South African Police Services in the Kariega region have taken the liberty of sharing some useful information with locals on sector policing.

“This is where police stations are divided into smaller, manageable areas known as sectors. Kariega SAPS has appointed police officials known as Sector Commanders, for every sector in Kariega.

This region’s SAPS is divided into four sectors. Communities and sector commanders will be active partners in ensuring safety in their local surroundings,” Section one commander, Sergeant Cisciro Jonathan explained.
