SAPS spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said that the South African Police Service (SAPS) Despatch detectives have opened a murder investigation following a fatal shooting incident that occurred on 14 August in Kingstown.
According to reports, SAPS Despatch received a complaint of a shooting in Dukubana Street, Kingstown at approximately 01:05. “On arrival at the residence, they found the bodies of two adult males with gunshot wounds.”
Janse Van Rensburg added, “At this stage, the motive for the attack remains unknown, and no arrests have been made. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects and are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in the investigation.”
She stated that the names of the deceased will be released once the next of kin have officially identified them.
