DANA Spicer Axle Uitenhage recently achieved 1.5 million man hours worked without any recordable lost time injury over a period of 551 working days.
“We believe that the health and safety of our employees, visitors, and the public is of the highest importance,” said Francois van Zyl, Risk Manager at Dana Spicer Axle Uitenhage.
All Dana employees have a role to play in continuous improvement where health and safety is concerned.
“It is the diligent effort and hard work of these committed individuals that continues to improve regulatory compliance and minimises or eliminates health and safety risks and exposures.
“The sharing of ‘best practices’ by employees, visitors, contractors and management is a great way to ensure we are always improving by taking advantage of the risk reduction efforts of our fellow Dana employees,” said Van Zyl.
