- A minibus-taxi driver fled an accident scene after colliding with a motorbike on Sunday afternoon.
- The incident happened at about 13:00 on Jakes Gerwel Drive, Goodwood, opposite Wingfield.
- The case is still under investigation and no arrests had been made.
Goodwood police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after a minibus taxi had collided with a motorbike.
According to available information, the accident occurred on Sunday 19 November, about 13:00, on Jakes Gerwel Drive, opposite Wingfield.

“It is alleged the driver of the minibus taxi suddenly turned in front of the motorbike and a sedan,” said provincial police spokesperson Capt Frederick van Wyk, “causing minor injuries to the motorcyclist, who was taken to a nearby hospital. The driver of the minibus fled the scene.”
Video footage shows the minibus-taxi driver fleeing the scene.
According to Van Wyk the case was still under investigation and no arrests had been made.
