Strandfontein residents now have access to mobile pet healthcare services from two organisations. The SPCA has been running a mobile clinic in the area for many years, and has recently been joined by the Animal Rescue Organisation (ARO), which has expanded its mobile clinic into the area.
Ward councillor Elton Jansen announced the change on his WhatsApp channel.

ARO mobile clinic
The ARO mobile clinic will visit Strandfontein on Mondays and Wednesdays from 13:00:00 to 14:00, parking in the field opposite the library on Welgelegen Avenue.
Services include vaccinations, deworming, tick and flea treatment and sterilisation. Pet owners are encouraged to speak to the team about their animals’ healthcare needs.
The clinic also visits Strandfontein surrounding suburbs for most of the rest of the week.
