Edward Keown, one of the organisers, told TygerBurger that the morning was well supported and that they expected more visitors throughout the day.

He said the toy enthusiasts with displays ranging from model steam trains, sport cars, classic cars, military aircraft and wooden toy displays, came from all across Cape Town, with the most located in the Northern Suburbs.

According to Edward some displays are for sale, but most of the toy collectors are keen just to display.

Young and old visited the event on Saturday and refreshments were also on sale.

Edward said the next event will be held on Saturday 3 December at the Bothasig Community Hall.
