A recent intelligence driven operation in the Kleinvlei Policing Precinct led to the arrest of several suspects for the possession of prohibited firearms and drugs.
Three suspects
Members of the anti-economic-crime task team and counterfeit and illicit goods policing team conducted the operation in Kleinvlei and Eerste River where they searched identified premises and confiscated two 9 mm pistols with ammunition and 100 Mandrax tablets, which were found at different addresses. They arrested three suspects aged 39, 37 and 21 for the possession of prohibited firearms and ammunition and possession of drugs.
“Once charged the suspects will make their respective court appearances in the Blue Downs Magistrates’ Court,” says police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
