SA’s Ladies Masters Pool champion has won again at the IEPF world championships

Tasneem Solomons from Bonteheuwel is focusing on playing her best shot while competing. She is currently defending her world title.

Tasneem Solomons from Bonteheuwel showed the world on Sunday night that her winning the IEPF’s (International Eightball Pool Federation) World Championship title last year was no fluke by winning the IEPF Master’s World Championship.
She defeated Ireland’s Chucky Preston in the final, who played her part in a magnificent final, coming back twice to force a decider.

Defending

Solomons spoke to TygerBurger from Ireland where she is defending the title she won last year. “I am extremely grateful and overjoyed to have won the IEPF Ladies Masters title. This achievement fills me with immense pride, and I truly appreciate all the support and encouragement that has carried me through this journey.

Winning the IEPF Ladies Masters title is one of the most meaningful achievements in my journey. Becoming the Ladies Masters Champion is not just a personal milestone, but also a reminder of the hard work, perseverance, and support that made it possible. I feel deeply humbled, grateful, and inspired to keep growing through this honour and keep doing what I love doing,” says Solomons.

When she spoke to TygerBurger she already qualified for the round of sixteen, the knockout rounds.

Message to the youth

Solomons had a message for all the young people from her home community looking up to her. In the last couple of weeks her community was in the news for violent crimes, amongst others the killing of a three-month-old baby by alleged gangsters. “To all the young dreamers out there, never underestimate the power of hard work, discipline, and belief in yourself. Success doesn’t happen overnight — it’s built one step, one challenge, and one sacrifice at a time. Every setback is a lesson, and every victory, no matter how small, is proof that you are capable of greatness. Keep chasing your dreams with courage and passion, because the future belongs to those who never give up,” she says.
