Kuils River police have confirmed that a robbery took place at the Stellendale FreshStop convenience shop at the Caltex fuel station on the corner of Stellenbosch Arterial and Sunvalley roads during the early hours of Wednesday 13 August.
According to Acting Station Commander, Lt Col Nokwanda Harmans, the incident occurred at around 01:30 when two men entered the store.
Firearm
CCTV footage of the robbery, believed to be from the shop’s security cameras, has been circulated on WhatsApp groups and social media.
In the video, one of the suspects can be seen pointing a firearm over the counter at the cashier.
“They took about R2 000 in cash, along with biltong and energy drinks valued at around R500,” said Harmans.
No shots
No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported during the incident.
A case of business robbery has been opened. Kuils River police are continuing their investigation.
