Popular Dracula ballet back on stage at Artscape for six shows end October

Cape Town City Ballet (CTCB) brings David Nixon’s acclaimed production Dracula back to the Artscape Theatre from 28 October to 1 November.

The production, last staged to full houses, returns for a limited season of six performances. Leading principals Kirstél Paterson and Leusson Muniz head the cast, with full casting to be announced soon.

Nixon, who received a CBE for services to dance, combines classical ballet with gothic storytelling in a work that pushes the genre into darker, more physical territory.

Evening performances take place from 28 to 31 October at 19:30, with matinees on Saturday 31 October at 14:00 and Sunday 1 November at 12:00. No under-13s.

Tickets cost from R250 to R500 at Webtickets and Artscape Dial-A-Seat on 021 421 7695. Advance booking is recommended.
