The annual Western Province Marching Association (WPMA) Marching Championships saw 36 marching squads from across the province compete in eight divisions.
The championship was held at the Rosina Paarwater Stadium in Bellville South on Saturday 7 December and supported by the City of Cape Town.
Teams represented schools and community cadets programmes in Mitchells Plain, Hanover Park, Manenberg, Gatesville, Kraaifontein, Bonteheuwel, Heideveld, Malmesbury, Goodwood and Worcester. Teams participated in divisions one to four, new-comers, community cadets, high schools and champions league with several trophies up for grabs on the day.

The crowds were kept entertained during the course of the event. Several trophies were up for grabs in the competition.
