Durbanville Craft Market will present a pet-adoption day and fundraising event at its monthly charity market on Saturday 7 February.
The market will be held from 09:00 to 14:00 at 5 Louw Street, behind the police station (adjacent to the fire station).
After 40 years the Durbanville Craft Market is still committed to support local creative people, animals and those in need, offering only handmade items.Loving Paws Rescue, Imagine Animal Dreams and The Gem Project will have the animals desperate for homes, up for adoption.
Little treasure hunt
Visitors can win a prize at the “Spin the Wheel” fundraising initiative presented by The Gem Project. Bietjie van Als will launch a “guess the bottle tops” competition at their food truck in aid of Fisantekraal Animal Welfare.
In addition to this fund raising effort visitors looking for little treasures can also pop in at the Fisantekraal Animal Welfare pre-loved stall.
The day promises to be a lovely day with coffee, something to eat and all handmade local art and crafts in a tranquil setting, accompanied to music by the very talented Jerry Fourie.
Stall fees are only R100. All stall fees are in aid of welfare organisations.
There is no stall fee charges for charity organisations or child crafters as well as concessions for seniors.
Pets are welcome to stroll along. Entrance is free and there is safe parking.
