Bishop Lavis police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 28-year-old man was shot and wounded earlier today.
The victim, a known gangster was standing on the corner of 4th Street in Bishop Lavis at about 14:30 with several other people when unknown suspect(s) drove past and fired several shots at the group.
According to police spokesperson Constable Samantha Adonis, the victim was wounded in his chest and leg.
“The victim was taken to a nearby hospital before police arrived on the scene. Nobody else was wounded during the shooting,” she says.
No arrests have been made yet.
