Have you seen this man?
Hawks’ from Bellville Serious Organised Crime Investigation are looking for him in connection with a case of police murder earlier this year.
The man’s name is Mihle Mngambi but also goes by the surname of Nzaba.
The incident happened on 8 September in Samora Machel.
“It is alleged that on 08 September 2022, at about 06:50 members of Samora Machel Police Station received information about a police member that was shot on Hintsa Kaphalo street, Samora Machel flats,” says Zinzi Hani, spokesperson of the Hawks.
“On arrival the members found an African male lying on his stomach with bullet wounds on his head and his upper body.”
He still had his uniform on, but was wearing a black and white top over his uniform.
“The deceased later identified as Sergeant Sithembiso Mnatwana stationed at Cape Town Central Vispol.”
He had just come from duty and did not have any firearm with him when he was killed.
Hani says a preliminary investigation has shown that Mihle Nzaba can assist the police in their investigation.
