A gala dinner and fundraising event are being planned for later this year to mark 25 years of the Tygerberg Hospital Children’s Trust.
Louise Theron, chief executive, says this milestone event marks a quarter-century of dedicated service to enhancing paediatric and neonatal healthcare at Tygerberg Hospital. The elegant evening will bring together supporters, healthcare professionals, donors, and community leaders to celebrate the trust’s impact while raising vital funds for the future, Theron says.
Guests can expect a sophisticated three-course dinner, live entertainment, and an exciting auction and raffle, all in support of a deeply meaningful cause.
Funds
Theron says, for 25 years, the trust has played a pivotal role in enhancing healthcare for young patients and their families. The gala event aims to build on this legacy by raising funds for life-saving medical equipment. The event, in collaboration with the Ingamu Foundation, will also support the Children’s Soup Kitchen in Wesbank near Kuils River, she says.
“The feeding scheme for children in Wesbank is run by Ingamu and a percentage of the evening’s proceeds will go towards this initiative. We will then purchase better equipment and add a little extra each month to make feeding easier, especially in colder months,” says Lee-Ann Garcia, chief executive.
The Ingamu Foundation partnered with Synergy Café to host the gala event, which takes place on Saturday 20 June at the Synergy Café and Catering at the Stellenbosch University’s Tygerberg Campus, Francie van Zijl Drive, Parow.
Tickets costs R950 per person, it includes a three-course dinner, and are available at info@synergycafeandcatering.co.za
