Whether you’re a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely walk, everyone is welcome to join this inclusive community event. Your participation will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local youth athletes.

Developing junior athletes

Since its establishment in 2012, the Bottelary Athletics Club has grown from the farms of Bottelary to include communities such as Wesbank and Delft.

The club is dedicated to developing junior athletes aged five to 21.

Some of the club’s top athletes have secured study bursaries. “We currently have an athlete at UWC, Basal Maci, while Tamica Jooste and Ruchan Blaauw are both studying in the USA on a sports scholarship,” says club secretary Rochelle Soggop.

Tamica Jooste was offered a full scholarship in 2022 to study at Wingate University in North Carolina, USA.
