The Vodacom building in Century City has caught alight earlier this morning (Sunday 09 July).
The City’s fire and rescue service were alerted to a fire on the roof, according to the City’s fire and rescue service spokesperson, Jermaine Carelse. He says solar panels were seen alight on the roof just after 11:00 this morning.
Firefighters are still attending to the blaze. No injuries have been reported so far.
The Summer Greens community group says Century City Boulevard has been cordoned off.
