Ten suspects were arrested by Durbanville police when found in possession of prohibited firearms and ammunition in Fisantekraal.
The officers were conducting an integrated disruptive operation in Fisantekraal on Sunday 11 August to address ongoing violence in the area.
They approached a house in Station Road around 20:20, searched the occupants and the entire premises and discovered and confiscated a .38 special revolver and a zip gun with ammunition.
They arrested 10 men for possession of prohibited firearms and ammunition. Once charged, the suspects were expected to make their respective court appearances in the Bellville Magistrates’ Court.
