City of Cape Town traffic officers arrested a drunk driver yesterday, on Wednesday, 26 June, after he collided head-on with another vehicle in the Brackenfell area.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Bottelary and Amandel Roads, at around 19:00.
Paramedics found one person on scene who sustained serious injuries and four others with minor injuries.
The driver, who was arrested, was not injured and was detained at Brackenfell Police Station.
“The driver of the other vehicle sustained slight injuries, while their passenger suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital,” says Maxine Bezuidenhout, spokesperson for City Traffic Service.
The scene was cleared at 19:48.
