Kraaifontein police are investigating a double murder after the bodies of two men – one African and one white – were found at the side of the gravel road near Nuutgewek Farm just off Bottelary Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to a reliable source the white man succumbed to panga wounds and the African man was shot dead.
A police source said the men were not known by any bystanders at the scene, nor were the circumstances surrounding the murder known at this stage.
Kraaifontein police confirmed a murder case was opened and is currently being investigated.
