The Brackenfell Knights Esports team made a remarkable impression at Comic Con Cape Town, earning an invitation to compete at Comic Con Africa, hosted by RGB Gaming. Under the leadership of coach Candice Bartsch, the team from Curro Brackenfell travelled to Johannesburg during the September holidays, ready to face off against some of the toughest competition they’ve encountered yet.

In a thrilling showcase of skill and determination, the Knights not only held their own but emerged victorious, solidifying their reputation as one of the leading school Esports teams in the country. The team, comprised of four talented contestants – Xavi Moodley, Joshua Hendricks, Greer van der Berg, and Blake de Wet – demonstrated exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout the competition.

“The Brackenfell community is incredibly proud of coach Candice and her team for their outstanding performance. The Knights’ success at Comic Con Africa is a testament to their hard work and dedication, and they extend their gratitude to RGB Gaming for the opportunity to compete, as well as to the parents whose unwavering support has been invaluable,” says a spokesperson at the school.
