Emergency services were rushed to an accident scene on the corners of Tygerberg Valley Road and Giel Basson Drive early Monday (16 March) following a head-on collision. Armed-response officers of the private security company District Watch responded at 06:31.
In a post on its social media page the company said two adult male drivers were involved in the accident and received medical attention on the scene.
The company said multiple emergency services responded and worked together to stabilise the patients.
The police, ER24 and Metro EMS ambulance services as well as the City of Cape Town’s Fire and Rescue Services also responded.
Jermaine Carelse, spokesperson for the City’s Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed that two motor vehicles collided on the roadway with two adult males sustaining injuries.
The service received the call at 06:30 and the road was cleared at 07:45.
