Boxer Superstores has stepped up to support two vital Mitchell’s Plain community initiatives, donating much-needed supplies to the local police station’s victim-support facility and providing new school shoes to learners from struggling families at Tafelsig Primary School.
The retail giant recently handed over essential items to the Mitchell’s Plain Police Station’s Victim Support Room, a safe space where survivors of gender-based violence receive immediate help. The donation included baby diapers, toiletries, hygiene products, toys and refreshments, all crucial for providing dignity and comfort to those arriving in crisis.
In a separate initiative Boxer also donated new school shoes to Tafelsig Primary School learners from vulnerable households, offering practical relief to families facing financial hardship while ensuring children can attend school with confidence.

The donation drive was carried out in partnership with the Mitchells Plain Police Station and local NGO Mosaic, highlighting the collaborative approach needed to address community challenges.
Dludla added that the company was “extremely proud to work with the South African Police Service, which selflessly cares for and protects these communities.”
The initiative formed part of Boxer’s ongoing commitment to community upliftment across the areas where it operates stores.
