Customers visiting Bayside Mall in Table View can indulge in a new view while enjoying their food in the food court after local artists from the Bazart non-governmental organisation (NGO) created colourful murals to brighten up this area.
“Bayside Mall collaborated with local artists from Bazart NGO to provide a cosmetic updated look in the centre [of the mall] but also function as engaging art pieces for customers,” said Chelsea Stadler, marketing manager of Bayside Mall.
The artists used various “vibrant and bold colours” celebrating the country’s diverse and colourful history and dynamic, according to Stadler.
“One wall tells a story of the diversity and growth of cultures in South Africa which was completed in April,” said Stadler.
The mall wanted to update its look and feel by creating lively images in the food court and liven up the area with vibrant, edgy and colourful images, Stadler explained.
