Nowadays stories about poor service and dissatisfied customers are so common. This story, however is completely different.
Way back in 1993 we asked Joos Joiners in Stikland to build kitchen cabinets, a breakfast table and five breakfast chairs from oak wood for our new home.
Thirty happy years then went by, but during the last quarter of 2023, unfortunately three cross stretchers of two of these chairs got broken.
To make things worse, it was right in the middle of Silly Season and everybody was scrambling to get everything done before Christmas. What now?
I took the two chairs back to the factory, not expecting anything. I told them my story and to my surprise, they accepted the chairs for repair amid a very heavy work schedule.
About two weeks later I got a call from the receptionist to come and fetch the chairs. On arrival I saw that they were repaired to perfection.
When enquiring about the price, the reception lady said with a big smile: “Nothing at all.”
Could this still be true in our modern times?
To demonstrate customer loyalty in such a way after 30 years? That was a tremendous WOW for me and my family and restored so much trust in humanity of what we have lost over the last few decades.
Thank you Jos and Leo Joos! You proved true integrity by your kind deed and we salute you and your business!
